IGN Gives Pac-Man Championship Edition DX a 10/10!!
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX released today, and it looks amazing. Here are a few screens, and then check out the link to the IGN review, which assigned the game a perfect 10/10. Can't say I saw that one coming. I'll hopefully be enjoying this game later today, and I may be reviewing it here on The Thoughtful Gamers, so look for that possibility in the next day or two.

It sounds like they are really going after gamers competitive nature and it looks pretty cool to. I think I'm going to go download the demo now and see if it can hook me.
ReplyDeleteBy the way did this one seem to come out of no where for you like it did me. I swear I haven't heard a thing about this before now.
I heard about it about 2 weeks ago, and that was about it. Whisper quiet, then snuck in it it seemed.

I have to admit that it's surprisingly good. It seems slightly easier with the slow down thing when you get near ghosts(the bombs as well), but in my case that's a good thing because I was always terrible at Pac Man.
ReplyDeleteThey have really breathed new life into the series. With the way the ghosts act it is almost like a mix of Pac Man and snake now. Yet some how it is a rush to have that long conga line chasing you through the maze until you reach a power pellet and munching through them is satisfying.
The focus has certainly shifted, and in some ways that sucks, as it was made a bit too easy, but whatever; it's f'n AWESOME.
